How it works
- First row = headers (default): column names become JSON object keys
- Each data row = one object: the values are paired with their column keys
- Header off: output is a plain array of arrays, useful for raw matrix data
- Pretty print: toggle 2-space indentation on or off
Delimiters
- Comma (,): the most common, default for most exports
- Semicolon (;): often used in European locales (Excel FR/DE/ES)
- Tab: for TSV files
- Pipe (|): sometimes used to avoid conflict with text content
What it correctly handles
- Quoted fields containing commas, newlines or quotes
- Escaped quotes (“”) inside quoted fields
- Mixed CRLF (Windows) and LF (Unix/Mac) line endings
- Rows with fewer values than the header (missing fields become empty strings)
