Meta Tags Generator — Complete SEO, Open Graph and Twitter Card Tags
Generate a full set of HTML meta tags for any web page: SEO basics (title, description, keywords, robots, canonical), Open Graph for Facebook/LinkedIn previews, and Twitter Card markup. Live character counters show whether your title and description fit the optimal range for Google SERPs. Output is properly HTML-escaped and ready to paste into your <head>.
What gets generated
- Basic SEO:
<title>,description,keywords,author,robots,canonical,charset,viewport - Open Graph:
og:title,og:description,og:url,og:image,og:type,og:site_name,og:locale— for Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord previews - Twitter Card:
twitter:card,twitter:title,twitter:description,twitter:image,twitter:site,twitter:creator
Live character counters
As you type:
- Title: turns green between 44 and 60 characters (optimal Google SERP), amber if too short, red if over 60
- Description: turns green between 120 and 160 characters, amber if too short, red if over 160
SEO best practices
- Title: include your primary keyword early, keep brand name at the end after a separator (— or |)
- Description: compelling sentence(s), include keywords naturally, end with a call-to-action where appropriate
- Canonical URL: always specify, especially if your page can be reached via multiple URLs
- Social image: 1200×630 px is ideal for both Facebook and Twitter summary_large_image
- Twitter card: “summary_large_image” gives more visibility than the small “summary”
What gets escaped
All your inputs are HTML-escaped before being written into the meta tags. Special characters (&, <, >, ", ') are converted to entities so your meta tags remain valid HTML even if your title or description contains them.
Toggle sections
Use the checkboxes at the bottom of the form to include/exclude entire sections from the output. Useful when you only need, say, Open Graph tags for a Facebook-only campaign, or just basic SEO without social.
