Schema Markup Generator — JSON-LD for Rich Results

Generate Schema.org JSON-LD structured data for six common types: Organization, LocalBusiness, Person, Article, Product, and FAQPage. Properly structured markup is what unlocks rich results in Google (star ratings, product prices, FAQs, knowledge panels). Output is live-formatted JSON, optionally wrapped in a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag ready to paste in your page head or body.

Supported types

  • Organization: for your homepage. Name, logo, contact, address, social profiles
  • LocalBusiness: for local SEO. Adds geo coordinates, price range, opening hours
  • Person: author pages, biographies, team profiles
  • Article: blog posts and news articles. Adds author, publisher, dates
  • Product: e-commerce items. Adds offer (price, currency, availability), aggregate rating
  • FAQPage: Q&A content. Each pair becomes a Question with an Answer

Tips for each type

  • Organization & LocalBusiness: always include logo URL — Google uses it in knowledge panels
  • Article: datePublished and dateModified influence the “freshness” signal
  • Product: aggregateRating is what produces the gold stars in search results
  • FAQ: only mark up FAQs that appear directly on the page (otherwise Google may consider it spam)
  • LocalBusiness opening hours: use the Schema.org format Mo-Fr 09:00-18:00 or Sa 10:00-14:00, one per line

Validate before deploying

After copying, paste the output into Google’s Rich Results Test or Schema.org Validator to confirm there are no warnings. Errors prevent rich results from displaying.

Where to add it

JSON-LD can go in either the <head> or the <body>. The script tag wrapper makes it inert — browsers don’t execute it. It’s invisible to users but read by Googlebot, Bingbot, and other crawlers.
