Diff Text Comparator
Compare two texts side by side and see exactly what changed. Additions and deletions are highlighted in green and red.
Diff Text Comparator
Paste two versions of a text to instantly see what was added, removed, or unchanged. The tool uses the Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) algorithm — the same approach used by Git and most professional diff tools.
How to use
- Paste the original version in the left panel.
- Paste the modified version in the right panel.
- Choose Word mode for inline changes or Line mode for paragraph-level differences.
- Click Compare to see the highlighted diff.
Reading the output
- Red highlight — content present in the original but removed in the modified version.
- Green highlight — content added in the modified version that was not in the original.
- Unmarked text — identical in both versions.
Common use cases
- Comparing document drafts before and after editing
- Reviewing changes in contracts or legal texts
- Spotting differences in code snippets
- Checking translation consistency
